VahanSetu is built specifically for verified automotive businesses, dealerships, and professional brokers to manage dealership customer relationship management, quotation generators, vehicle exchange pipelines, and live trade bidding networks.
2. Information We Collect
To support your daily business workflow in VahanSetu, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Business & Account Information: Dealership/broker business name, GST/business identity details, official email address, postal address, city, district, and state.
- Contact Persons & Roles: Names, mobile phone numbers, and login credentials of the business owner, managers, and assigned branch operators.
- Vehicle Inventory & Stock Data: Vehicle make, model, registration numbers, odometer readings, inspection details, pricing notes, and uploaded vehicle photographs.
- Digital Document Vault: Scanned copies of vehicle documentation you voluntarily upload, such as Registration Certificates (RC), insurance policies, PUC certificates, purchase receipts, and delivery challans.
- B2B Auction & Trading Activity: Whitelisted partner business IDs, invitation lists, live bids placed, winning bid records, and trade timestamps.
3. Mobile Device Permissions
The VahanSetu mobile application requests the following access only when essential for core features:
- Camera & Photo Library: Used to capture vehicle stock photographs and scan documents (RC, insurance) into your local business profile or stock records.
- Push Notifications (FCM): Used to deliver critical operational reminders (such as 9:00 AM daily task planning and 9:00 PM closing summaries), trade status updates, and live auction alerts. You can control push preferences in your device settings.
- Device Technical Information: Hardware model, operating system version, and anonymous diagnostic logs used strictly to ensure application stability and troubleshoot crashes.
4. Specific B2B Auction Financial & Delivery Disclaimer
No In-App Payment Handling: VahanSetu is strictly a communications, CRM, and digital price-discovery tool. We do not collect, hold, escrow, or process payments for any vehicles auctioned, bid on, or traded. All transactions, advances, and full settlements occur strictly peer-to-peer between the transacting businesses.

5. How We Use & Protect Your Information
We process your data strictly to operate VahanSetu services, authenticate business profiles, coordinate authorized bidder whitelists, and safeguard system security. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your business or customer records to third-party advertisers. All transmission occurs over encrypted HTTPS/TLS channels and is stored on secure cloud databases.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You can request account cancellation and permanent deletion of your business records and document vault at any time via the in-app Settings menu or by emailing our support desk at admin@carhoyabike.com.
